Black and Blue Again

Yes, sir: another bad stick. This is the third time in a month, and my arm now looks like a leopard... or a zebra (a zepard?). Earlier this month, I've resigned myself to wearing long sleeved shirts, but then this California hot spell came. Oh, the horrors of displaying my arm in public!

The tech and the nurses decided that that spot may be cursed. Hopefully, another spot is luckier.

RE: Bad stick again

I had 5 years of dialysis age 42 to 47 in Sacramento (and a few weeks in The City). Willing to share 'stick strategy' if you're open to it.

Thanks Michael. I'd like to hear what your stick strategy is. I was advised to have the techs use a tourniquet when I got stuck. That way my veins aren't moving around... I guess they are a bit twitchy.

BTW, 5 years of dialysis? Did you get a transplant? If so, congrats!!!
